About F. Michael Keefe

Working is an attorney is a very personal experience. I’m attorney F. Michael Keefe, and I want to share some of my experience and history, so you can make an informed decision regarding my representing you with your legal matter.

I attended the State University of New York (SUNY) at Plattsburg, New York, where I majored in English literature. While attending college I also worked as a track maintenance worker for the Delaware and Hudson Railway for eight years. I graduated magna cum laude from SUNY Plattsburgh in May of 1982.

Army Veteran

Prior to college, I served in the U.S. Army from 1973 to 1975, where I was a top secret classified document custodian for the XVIII Airborne Corps at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. I was honorably discharged from the military in October 1975. I used my veterans benefits to assist in both undergraduate school and law school, and I also worked full time through both endeavors.

I attended Franklin Pierce Law Center (now known as UNH School of Law) from 1983 through 1986. I was admitted to the New Hampshire Bar Association in October of 1986 and to the Maine Bar Association in May of 1987, and have remained a member in good standing in active practice since that time. I was also at that time admitted to practice in both the federal district court for the district of New Hampshire and the district of Maine.

F. Michael Keefe For The Defense

I am an original member of the New Hampshire Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers

I was briefly employed as an associate attorney at the former Manchester firm of Hage and Hodes, a three-person firm, prior to starting my own practice in April of 1988 with Law Offices of F. Michael Keefe, PLLC.

More Than 38 Years Of Practice Experience

With more than three decades of experience, I have served thousands of clients in the greater Manchester area and throughout the state of New Hampshire. I have developed a valuable and loyal client base. My areas of practice are varied and include criminal law, domestic relations, personal injury law and general civil litigation practice.

My primary area of personal interest has always been criminal law practice which is challenging and ever-changing. Among other things, I have been lead counsel in two homicide cases and co-counsel in two other homicide cases which have served to prepare me to handle almost any litigation matter imaginable, however complex.

I live in Bedford and practiced in the North End throughout my career. I value the time that I and my adult children spend together. I am a proud New England native, and enjoy boating on Lake Winnipesaukee, cross country skiing, and vacationing in my beautiful state. I am also an avid drummer, and my other interests include, cooking, billiards, reading and golf. I am a long suffering and now quite proud Red Sox fan and proudly follow the Patriots and Celtics regularly. I am also a faithful Manchester Monarchs fan, and a regular at many home games.
